About Us: About the Practice
Dr. Syperek earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. After completing his residency in Podiatric Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine at Mt. Sinai East Hospital in Richmond Heights, Ohio, he also completed a podiatric surgical residency and additional foot and ankle reconstructive training in the Orthopaedic Department at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. Lastly, he finished his training at the world famous Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology & Orthopaedics in Kurgan Russia. He is an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. In 2002 following an honorable discharge from the United States Army, where he served as Chief of Podiatry and Orthopaedics at Moncrief Army Hospital in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, he joined Ochsner Clinic to work within a large medical and surgical venue until 2010, he joined the Limb Salvage Institute in Jacksonville Florida. The Limb Salvage Institue's founder is also founder and co-chair of the Save A Leg Save A Life foundation that represents over 40 chapters nation wide. The Limb Salvage Institute is made up of multiple physicians, nurse care practitioners and nurses whom all specialize in wound care and limb salvage with emphasis on how it is related to Diabetes, Peripheral Vascular Disease, and lower extremity neuropathic diseases.
Dr. Syperek’s special areas of interest are Podiatric Surgery, Sports Medicine, Diabetic Wound Care and Limb Salvaging. He specializes in both surgical and non-surgical treatment of all foot disorders. Dr. Syperek is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care, and to fully informing and educating you concerning your diagnosis and treatment options. He strives to integrate the doctrine of prevention in all his treatment plans as a way to alleviate possible future difficulties.
